Blush Response ist ein Projekt für elektronische Musik von Joey Blush (Joey Gonzalez) aus Berlin.[1]

Der kubanisch]]-US-amerikanische Musiker Joey Blush stammt aus New York City. Er arbeitete schon für die US-amerikanische Metal-Band Fear Factory, dem Keyboarder Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly), dem mexikanischen Sängers Cristian Castro und war als Tourmitglied bei Joey Jordisons (Slipknot, Murderdolls) Projekt Scar the Martyr dabei.[2]

Im Jahr 2008 gründete Joey Blush in New York City das Musikprojekt Blush Response.[3] Das Debütalbum "We Are Replicants" veröffentlichte Blush Response noch selbst. Das zweite Album "Tension Strategies" wurde am 5. März 2013 über Basic Unit Productions aus Bonn in Deutschland und über Tundra Dubs in den Vereinigten Staaten veröffentlicht. Das dritte Album "Desire Machines" wurde am 22. September 2014 über Desire Records veröffentlicht. Am 29. Juni 2015 folgte mit der EP "Future Tyrants" das erste Release beim Berliner Label aufnahme + wiedergabe. Am 3. Dezember 2015 folgte das Album "Night of the Machines Live" mit Aufnahmen vom 26. November 2015 in der Arena Berlin bei der Elektron Night of Machines. Am 16. Januar 2016 folgte das Album "Rebirthed in the Sprawl" über Total Black. Das ursprünglich kanadische Label Total Black zog im September 2015 erst nach Berlin.[4] Am 19. Februar 2016 veröffentlichte die US-amerikanische Post-Punk-Band The Soft Moon das Remixalbum "Deeper Remixed". Darauf ist ein Remix von Ancient Methods enthalten. Am 8. April 2016 folgte von Blush Response das Album "Reshaper" beim deutschen Label ant-zen. Am 14. Oktober 2016 spielte Blush Response beim Maschinenfest. Im November 2017 folgte das Album "Infinite Density" über Sonic Groove. Am 13. Januar 2018 folgte "Fresh Kicks 56: Blush Response Live" für die DJ Mag's Fresh Kicks Serie. Darauf sind Aufnahmen aus dem Cocoliche in Buenos Aires in Argentinien vom 9. September 2017.[5] 2019 erschien das Album "Fissures In The Megastructure", 2020 folgten vier weitere Alben. Am 31. August 2021 erschien das Album "Reconstitution".

Joey Blush ist mit SΛRIN (Emad Dabiri) als Konkurs und mit Ontal (Boris Brenecki und Darko Kolar) als Impulse Controls aktiv. Weiterhin ist er in AVM aktiv.[6]
