Grenville Davey (* 28. April 1961 in Launceston, Cornwall) ist ein englischer Bildhauer und Hochschullehrer.

Leben

Davey studierte von 1981 bis 1984 am Exeter College of Arts and Design und anschließend von 1985 bis 1988 am Goldsmiths College der University of London, wo er seinen Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) machte.[1]

Seine erste Einzelausstellung war 1987 in der Lisson Gallery in London. Im Jahr 1988 wurde er im britischen Pavillon der Biennale di Venezia ausgestellt.[2] 1992 wurde er mit dem britisch Kunstpreis "Turner Prize" für seine Ausstellung in der Chisenhale Gallery im selben Jahr ausgezeichnet.[3] Im Dezember 2010 wurde Davey "Artist in Residence" am Queen Mary College der University of London, wo er mit David Berman, einem Stringtheoretiker, zusammengearbeitet hat. Das setzte er von Januar bis Juni 2012 am Isaac Newton Institute fort.[4]

Er ist Dozent ("Senior Lecturer") an der University of East London[5] und ist Gastprofessor an der University of the Arts London.[6]
